Morning Thought

I love my children.  I do.

Layla woke up at 6:30 this morning and played with her stuffed animals until 7am when I came in to get her up.  She knows she's not allowed to get out of bed until 7:00.  We came downstairs for breakfast (OJ and applesauce oatmeal) and cartoons!  She decided to go upstairs for a nap at 9am.  All by herself!  I had to get a binky and open the gate for her though.  She's up there trying to sleep now.

Rebecca has slept through the fourth night in a row!  Yay!  I love the two month mark (almost there) when they start sleeping longer at night.  She woke up for a good bottle, change of diaper and clothes, and to get/give kisses to Layla.  She went back to sleep in her crib at 8:30...so exhausted.  All that growing and eating.

Unfortunately, both girls are sick.  Layla has the congestion, runny nose, and cough.  Poor babygirl...she is doing better with Tylenol Cold though!  Rebecca has congestion.  Of course, they got it from me having had a sinus infection.  If they aren't over it next week I will be taking them into the doctor.  :(

As of this moment, I am enjoying a cup of coffee while playing on the computer.  I don't feel like cleaning, doing dishes, doing laundry, or even bringing in trashcans.  My life is good.  My life is exhausting.

I am happy.

Layla is such a beautiful name! Thanks for the comment on my blog! I would gladly trade you homes! I love the winter and can hardly get enough of it, I get very sad when the hot hot hot summers of DC roll around and I turn into a grumpy-i-hate-going-outside person!

Keep blogging!

And thanks for stopping by my blog as well! Yes, we are in ND, and live about 90 miles northeast of you in the Turtle Mountains -- 2 miles from the Canadian border. We have friends that live on base. We moved up here from Fargo just 5 years ago, enjoy it very much.
